In the grounds, is the old Lanheses pillory which has been classified as a national monument.

The guest wing contains the dining room pictured here and a sitting room in addition to 3 bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds. A small kitchenette is available for the guests to use.
The village of Lanheses is at the end of the drive and has restaurants and patisseries etc.

In the summer, breakfast is often served on the veranda which has views across the estate vineyards and the river Lima.
Later in the day, it is possible to cool down in an old granite water store which acts as a small pool.

It is 60 kilometres from Porto airport, now almost all of it by motorway, and in addition there are good connections to Braga, Guimaraes and other towns to the north of Porto.

The back of the house has views over the estate vineyards and across the valley of the river Lima.

Lanheses is situated midway between the old sailing port of Viana do Castelo and the market town of Ponte de Lima.

The house is especially suitable for these not having a car due to frequent buses from the nearby village.
