Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, it is set in Sao Miguel de Paredes, between Penafiel and Entre-os-Rios, in the Douro Valley.
The region has a long-standing gastronomic tradition and is steeped in history, with some traces of Roman civilization.

The nearby Tamega and Douro Rivers are ideal for countryside walks, fishing and water sports. Of particular interest are the famous cruises along the stunningly beautiful Douro River.
The historic city of Porto is approximately 25 minutes drive away.

On the ground floor of the main house there are 4 large, comfortable guest rooms decorated with classical furniture. Each one bears the name of the grapes of regional wines, Padrena, Trajadura, Azal and Loureiro.

There is a communal terrace from where guests can enjoy the wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

The accommodation comprises 2 double ensuite bedrooms and 2 twin ensuite bedrooms. All rooms have televison.
The Adega has been converted into a dining room where meals can be served on request. It has a 'lagar' dated from 1786 which was used to press the grapes after the harvest.

On the first floor there is a communal room featuring a fireplace, piano, TV, sofas and a games table.

There is an additional double ensuite bedroom.

An annex building, which was formerly used to store cereal, has been converted into a cottage. It has a double ensuite bedroom, TV and a kitchenette with 2 hobs, fridge, microwave and coffee machine.

The main house and cottage both have central heating.

In the large garden stands a beautiful chapel dedicated to St. Anthony.

The swimming-pool enjoys magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.

There are several restaurants nearby and a Spa.
